Hey there football enthusiasts! Not to long ago (about a month ago) I posted a message about starting a 'Joint' flag football league all around the Bay Area/Nor. Cal where anyone and EVERYONE has the opportunity to get involved. So here's my idea:

Each region of the Bay, including cities that surround the outskirts of the Bay (ie. Santa Cruz and Sacramento) will be separated by divisions where, during the regular season, E. Bay teams will face E. Bay teams, S. Bay teams will face S. Bay teams, Sacramento regional teams will play Sacramento regional teams...and so on and so forth.

After the 'regular season', each team in each division who holds the best record moves on to a 'playoff' type of scenario where the best of each division will go head to head (so that the team w/ the best record from the E. Bay will face the representatives with the best record of the S. Bay, N. Bay, Peninsula, Sacramento...etc.)

I haven't decided on whether this function should go through this Summer ('07) because as you may already know, it may be a little too late to gather a bunch of people that are willing to play on short notice. And without proper organization, this whole concept might turn into a mess. But NEVER say NEVER. We'll see how things go within the next few months to see if we could get enough people involved in this idea!

But if anything, I'm shooting for Summer 2008 to start this event that may just as well be the turning factor in bringing the Bay Area communities together for some fun and compelling competition. If you're interested in ANY WAY to make this function happen or if you have any opinions or ideas that you would like to share, please fill free to contact me.

You could check out the self-promotional flag football league function on MySpace @

or feel free to email me (Marc) at thebaysfl@yahoo.com with any opinions/ideas, information, or even if you want to think about joining the League or learn more about it. Lemme know what you think. Thanks. And Blessings.
